Air Marshal Bhadauria takes over as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (DCAS) of Indian Air Force (IAF)

Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria took over as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff today. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and was commissioned in the IAF in June 1980. Prior to taking over as DCAS, Air Marshal Bhadauria was Senior Air Staff Officer at Central Air Command of IAF.

He is an Experimental Test Pilot, Cat ‘A’ Qualified Flying Instructor and Pilot Attack Instructor with over 4200 hours of experience on over twenty five types of fighter and transport aircraft. Air Marshal Bhadauria completed his Staff Course and Masters in Defence Studies from Command and Staff College, Bangladesh.

Army Day Open Quiz Competition 2016

As part of ‘Army Day Celebration- 2016’, the Army would be conducting a National Level Open Quiz Competition for school children on 07 January 2016 at Manekshaw Centre, Delhi Cantonment on the theme “Indian Army : Symbol of Courage, Valour and Sacrifice”.
            The Quiz Competition would be conducted by renowned Quiz Master, Mr Aditya Nath Mobayi of Quiz Craft Enterprise. The entry is free for the Quiz Competition and two teams from each school comprising of three students from Higher Secondary classes are eligible to participate. 
             The team winning the competition would be presented with a Trophy alongwith a cash prize. Awards are also being given for the First and Second Runner up Teams apart from certificates & gift hampers containing books for the participants.
            The event would be conducted as a prelude to the Army Day Celebration this year and would certainly go a long way to etch an impression in the minds of the future generations of the country on the Indian Army's legacy of Courage, Valour and Sacrifice.

Subject :- Revision of pension in r/o pre-2006 Commissioned Officers/JCOs/ORs pensioners/ Family pensioners.

Reference:- This office Circular No. 547 dated 11.09.2015.


Pension Disbursing Agencies are aware that as per this office Circular No. 547 dt.- 11.09.2015, Service/Family Pension in respect of JCOs/ORs are to be revised w.e.f. 01.01.2006 by the Pension Disbursing Agencies as per tables attached with circular. Specific tables for revision of Special Pension/Invalid Pension/ Service Element of Disability Pension in respect of Pre- 01.01.2006 PBORs retirees discharged with less than 15 years of qualifying service and Service Pension of TA personnel irrespective of their qualifying service have not been prepared as the Pension Disbursing Agencies would not be in a position to revise such cases. Hence, such cases shall be referred to the Pension Sanctioning Authorities by Pension Disbursing Agencies on enclosed Annexure to issue corrigendum PPOs in affected cases.
