High Speed Expendable Aerial Target ‘ABHYAS’ successfully completes developmental trials with improved booster configuration

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully completed six consecutive developmental trials of High Speed Expendable Aerial Target (HEAT) ‘ABHYAS’ with improved booster configuration from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha. With this, ABHYAS has successfully completed 10 developmental trials demonstrating the reliability of the system.

INDIAN NAVAL SHIP TABAR REACHES ALEXANDRIA, EGYPT

As part of her ongoing deployment to Africa and Europe, Indian Navy's frontline frigate, INS Tabar, arrived at the historic port city of Alexandria, Egypt for a goodwill visit from 27 to 30 Jun 24.

India and Egypt have enjoyed a rich legacy of cultural relations and economic ties for several centuries. These bonds have continued to grow stronger in modern times and in recent years, bilateral relations between both countries have expanded across various sectors, including defence and maritime cooperation. The visit of Indian Naval Ship Tabar to Alexandria is intended to reaffirm India's commitment to deepening the bilateral ties with Egypt as also enhancing various aspects of maritime security.

एनसीसी का दो दिवसीय ‘वार्षिक नीति संवाद शिविर’ नई दिल्ली में आयोजित

राष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर (एनसीसी) का दो दिवसीय ‘वार्षिक नीति संवाद शिविर’ 04-05 जून, 2024 को नई दिल्ली में हुआ। इस सम्मेलन का मुख्य उद्देश्य युवाओं की आकांक्षाओं को पूरा करने के लिए सरकार के निर्देशों के अनुसार एनसीसी की चल रही विस्तार योजना की प्रगति की समीक्षा करना था। एनसीसी के महानिदेशक लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल गुरबीरपाल सिंह ने सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन किया और इसमें देश भर के एनसीसी निदेशालयों के अतिरिक्त महानिदेशक और उप महानिदेशक शामिल हुए।

Curriculum to foster inter-service approach to Jointness and Integration in Warfare

The 80th Staff Course commenced today at the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) in Wellington, Tamil Nadu. The course is designed to train mid-career officers from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force to become proficient staff officers and future military leaders and equips officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate effectively in an integrated tri-services environment. During the course, 480 student officers including 38 officers from 26 Friendly Foreign Countries will gain a deep understanding of the functioning of each service and the warfighting philosophies at tactical and operational level over a duration of 45 weeks.

INS Shivalik, mission deployed to the South China Sea and Pacific Ocean, departed Singapore on 30 May 24 for onward passage to Yokosuka, Japan.

During the ship's OTR at Singapore, various activities were undertaken which included Call on with Base Commander, Changi Naval Base, Wreath Laying at Kranji War Memorial, Call on with High Commissioner of India to Singapore, IFC visit, Visit of around 80 school children onboard, Visit of Indian and Australian High Commissioner onboard and cross-deck visits to USS Mobile (LCS) reflecting maritime relations and shared values between the navies which is primarily under the ambit of Security and Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR).

मेजर जनरल हर्ष छिब्बर ने कॉलेज ऑफ डिफेंस मैनेजमेंट, सिकंदराबाद के कमांडेंट का पदभार ग्रहण किया: 

मेजर जनरल हर्ष छिब्बर ने 31 मई, 2024 को रियर एडमिरल संजय दत्त से सिकंदराबाद स्थित कॉलेज ऑफ डिफेंस मैनेजमेंट के कमांडेंट का पदभार ग्रहण कर लिया है। राष्ट्रीय रक्षा अकादमी के पूर्व छात्र रहे मेजर जनरल हर्ष छिब्बर को दिसंबर, 1988 में सैन्य सेवा कोर में कमीशन प्राप्त हुआ था।

मेजर जनरल हर्ष छिब्बर पब्लिक पॉलिसी में डॉक्टर ऑफ फिलॉसफी (पीएचडी) की डिग्री के साथ-साथ बिजनेस मैनेजमेंट एंड पब्लिक एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन में दो एमफिल की डिग्रियों के धारक भी हैं। उन्होंने तकनीकी स्टाफ अधिकारी पाठ्यक्रम (टीएसओसी), उच्च रक्षा प्रबंधन पाठ्यक्रम (एचडीएमसी) और लोक प्रशासन में उन्नत व्यावसायिक कार्यक्रम (एपीपीपीए) का पाठ्यक्रम भी पूरा किया है।
